Number Five Is Alive

Wed Jun 24, 2009, 5:10 PM
Well, I've thrown together a few photoshops recently but nothing worthy of going on here. Kinda in the middle of the exam period now, which is a bit lame as all my mates have finished uni for the summer and are off for about 10 weeks, where as I have to work right through until August, then I get 3 weeks off.

As such, I've done bugger all artwork, although it doesn't help my PC blew up and this laptop doesn't support my graphics tablet. Hopefully will be sorted when I build the new PC within the next few weeks. Ordering parts tomorrow :XD:

I'm currently torn between Revision and watching movies from the late 80's and early 90's. Problem is brain is starting to overload on the amount of revision I've done :(

I'm not insane, I just lack common sense. Hence why that's me on the right, 5ft up in the air on a pair of stilts.

i've seen your bocking shots and i have to say, you guys look like you're having a hell of a good time out there. I just got some and haven't tried em out yet, i'm wondering, how much did you fall when you first used them?
Not massively, a few times but mainly because I was being cocky or trying something beyond my ability. Take it slow and you'll be fine.

To give you an idea, it took me 2 years to land a front flip.

thanks.

two years huh? how'd you start out? what did you try?
Managed to get into a sports centre, used 6" thick crash mats there. Initially started with loads of mats piled up, just did forward rolls onto them. Then tried flipping over, slowing taking more mats away until only one left. Then just kept going for it.

Once I was landing on those, moved across to the 1" thick gym mats, once I was confident on those, went to concrete and my friend slid the mat underneath. Then he just didn't bother, wham, landed it on concrete. I mainly do them on grass though now, it's a bit more forgiving if you under or over-rotate!
